    The cold compress

    If you experience heavy menstrual bleeding, try using a cold compress. The cold temperature causes vasoconstriction, which means the constriction of the blood vessels. This will reduce the flow of blood as well as pain in the lower abdomen.
    - Put some ice cubes in a thin towel.
    - Place it on your abdomen for 15 to 20 minutes.
    - Lie down for a while and try to relax.
    If necessary, repeat the remedy every 4 hours for as long as symptoms persist.

    Molasses

    Molasses is another effective remedy for controlling heavy bleeding. Rich in iron, it helps in the production of red blood cells and can help regulate the amount of blood lost during menstruation. Additionally, it helps reduce blood clots and soothes the muscles in the walls of the uterus to reduce pain.
    - Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of molasses to a cup of lukewarm water or milk. Drink once a day.
    - Another option is to add ½ tablespoon of molasses to a glass of lemongrass tea. Drink once in the morning and once at night before going to bed.

    - Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water.

    Raspberry leaves
